We are a 30 bedded hospital carrying out a range of procedures in different specialities including orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology and general surgery.

The opportunity

To support the clinical team to deliver high quality patient care to our patients to optimise their post-operative recovery and wellbeing. As our Physiotherapy Assistant you will:

• Deliver high quality, effective clinical care under the supervision of our registered physiotherapists and nursing staff
• Promote multi-disciplinary working alongside therapy and nursing teams
• Ensure that all clinical records are accurately maintained and conform to all legal requirements
• Complete administrative duties to support the therapy and nursing teams to enable smooth and efficient care throughout the patient journey
• Be responsible for reviewing and reporting stock level and supplies to ensure the clinical environment is fit for purpose

The person
To succeed as a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will need:

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting, ideally in a health care support or therapy assistant role
• To be enthusiastic and motivated with a can do attitude and able to work with own initiative
• Highly organised and flexible
